Hey Reader, I've spoken to tens of business owners in the last week and I asked them 4 questions. I thought I could ask them to you too - and if you have a spare 5 mins you might reply to me and let me know your stance. They are at the end of this email. But the 4 questions have unearthed a common thread through all of the businesses - and I spoke to sales coaches, VA agency owners, copywriters, music producers, investors, start up founders - the range was massive. It was interesting because the way I had asked them to qualify whether they answer the questions or not was to say "I am looking for established business owners" and all of those who stepped forward were established but in different ways. Some where established through length of owning a business (some over 20 years) and others saw themselves as established though the amount of money they had made through the time they had owned their business even if it was relatively short. So when I asked the first question, they said "Well I am actually really efficient..." then there was a beat which was followed with "...but I guess that this could be quicker...". All of them told me the same thing was taking up their time, energy and focus. All of them. I will share what that was with you, but only when you have answered one of the questions below (or all of them preferably, but if you only have time for one, make it number 1!) So I have created something for me to help. It's a done for you service that will eliminate this task, and save up to 25 hours a month in admin time. but before I release it into the wild because it isn't quite ready yet I would love to extend my research to you because you probably didn't see my fleeting instagram story late on Friday night when I asked for help. 1. What’s something you know is inefficient in your business, but you keep tolerating because it’s too much effort to fix?
2. If someone gave you a duplicate version of yourself to run your business, what’s the first thing you’d delegate or stop doing entirely?
3. What’s a project, offer or idea you’re excited about but you’re not acting on it yet? What’s stopping you?
4. What’s the bit of your business you never talk about online because it’s too messy, inconsistent, or not quite where you want it to be?
Even if you can only answer one make it number 1 for me? Thank you. And if you want to know about my secret offer that is nearly ready, click here and you'll be the first to know when I put out the pre-Sept launch pricing. Speak soon Zx |
I'm Zoë. I run Falling Forwards Ltd. I write Booked By Friday, a weekly email that lands every Sunday with one specific action you can take that week to land a paid booking by Friday from people already in your world. Past clients, lapsed buyers, the lead who said "not yet" three months ago. If you sell services and your calendar's lighter than you'd like, that's the inbox you want to be in.
I speak too fast and I'm neurodivergent. "The thing you've been editing out is probably the thing the right people are waiting for." I started putting a slide at the beginning of my presentations that says exactly that. I speak too fast. I'm neurodivergent, for me that's ADHD and autism, which means I struggle to look at the camera, I need to read my notes, and once I get going I'm not stopping so try and keep up. If any of that's a problem, watch me on replay, I really won't be offended. I...
Three years, four million. I walked away and left all the proof behind. "The proof you can't package is still proof." I spent three years taking a business from just under a million to four million a year. I know exactly what I did. That was me. And I can't use any of it. I can't name it, I can't cite it, I can't reference it. I walked away from that situation and I left the proof behind. So when I started Falling Forwards I had this weird thing where I knew exactly what I was capable of and...
You know the version that lands on calls. That one isn't in your emails. "Who are you actually writing for?" You know that thing that happens in a call when someone asks you a question and you just... answer it? No build up, no thinking about how it's going to land, you just say the thing you actually think. And then they message you two days later and say "I've been thinking about that for weeks." That's the version of you that makes people buy. And it's almost never the version that makes...
