Hey Reader, Yesterday I made a reel and posted it without giving myself time to think, and whether you have seen it or not, I wanted to share the message here. It has taken me a long time to come to this decision and my email list has always been my fave place to hang out, and I know that I have been neglecting you for the last few weeks. In the past 6 months, the industry I work in feels like it has been imploding in on itself. The homogenisation of expertise has become hard to avoid, along with the increased reliance of Chat GPT regurgitating "guru" nonsense and the apathy for consumption of knowledge. This means that there has been a heady mix of "nope, not today" in the air and it has been hard to process. As audiences, we are tired, we are done being duped and our attention spans and patience are at an all time low. All of this mixed with repeated feedback of "no one knows what you do, no one knows who you work with, your messaging is confusing, what would we recommend you for" and my own doubting of my self worth has meant that I want to shy away, go get a job and forget that I ever worked online in the first place. But I have worked too hard and for too many years to understand myself, how my brain works and how I can help people best. Since I reopened my business in 2023 I have had a sideline of project work that has kept my nerdy cup full, building custom Airtable dashboards and databases for a wide range of businesses, from hairdressers to coaching schools to subscription boxes and wedding venues, all under the radar without marketing because my books have always been full. I love this work. I have avoided promoting it because no matter what others try to peddle systems just aren't seen as sexy no matter how much I think they are. Much like Ted Lasso up there with his wonderful moustache that I think it one of the sexiest things around, systems to me are the sexiest piece of the business puzzle. For too long I have let my own bias dissuade me from leaning into my zone of genius, trying to match the Insta huns that teach "well this worked for me, if you're doing it exactly like me and it isn't working then that's a you problem, not a me problem". I'm not absolving myself of blame in my recent lack of form; my ND literal thinking has absolutely lead me very far down the wrong path, but growth is knowing that even when you are that far down the road you have the opportunity to turn around and change things for the better. So I am switching things up. I have begun to build a micro agency, specialising in custom Airtable dashboards for solo service providers who are tired of juggling Google Sheets, Notion, and a million different tools just to keep their business running. This isn’t about giving you another template to tweak or a system you have to figure out yourself. I build it for you fully customised, automated, and designed to fit how you work. No more manual tracking. No more messy operations. Just a streamlined system that keeps everything in one place, from leads and payments to content and client progress. If you’ve ever thought, “There has to be an easier way to keep track of everything,” there is and this is it. I'm currently still working with clients to build my case studies and have very favourable rates (from £750+VAT) to build out these dashboards for you. Projects generally take between 2-4 weeks and I am currently booking until mid April. My website is being build right now, but if you want to have a chat about how this would look for you, either fill in this form for me to come back to you or book a direct call here. Thank you for staying with me whilst I've been figuring it all out. We're all just learning, right? And if the past few months have been s h i t for you, it isn't just you. Promise. Speak soon Zx |
