Hey Reader,
Isn't it exciting when you have a new idea and you can't wait to just get selling?
I am not one for a slow burn - I want the glory now dammit! So this way of launching Do the Effing Work has been a bit torturous if I am honest!
One person, one problem, one piece of content.
Today's problem? Well it is one that everyone I know has faced - zero sales.
Even the big names suffer from this, and slowly fade that service away never to be seen again (or just get it launched under a new name a week later).
Thing is us peeps who are deep in the grind are emotionally attached to that new thing we created, and cannot believe that no one else is as in love with it as we are? I mean WTF Janet^ why don't you love my thing?
Honestly? It's because the people that thing is perfect for don't know that it's perfect for them BECAUSE YOU'VE GIVEN THEM TOO MUCH INFORMATION!
One person, one problem, one piece of content.
At the Overnighter last week, one of the attendees was having trouble articulating the service she had to offer.
She knew what she wanted to get across but she didn't have the language she needed to convey that. She was trying to make it sound complicated and interesting and shiny when all she needed was one simple statement that spoke to her audience.
That statement for me is: I help you do the work.
Whether that is figuring out what the work is, to holding space for you to do it or telling you your to do list for the next week - I am that person.
In the Do the Effing Work Bolt tier, we have that chance every week to go over what it is you do and how you help and how you're going to make sales that week. Then, there are content audits galore, an unlimited amount of submissions to get my take (and strip back) what you want to promote.
I know that if you join this tier, your business will grow because I am not in the habit of making promises I can't keep. I promise that within 30 days your productivity will rise by 25% which means your revenue will too because you are doing the effing work you need to do to make money.
It's just in Bolt, I get a little more in your face about it.
Doors open till Monday, I want you with me.
Speak soon
Zx
^I picked Janet as hopefully a name no one has but if you do, it's purely coincidental
Offer creator, business grower, sweary-ish yarn teller. People like my emails coz they tell me they are "the only ones they read"; yet I also have a complex about copy 🤷♀️
Hey Reader, Welcome to Friday - we made it! In what is becoming a regular feature, in the last week I hit a big income milestone and I wanted to break it down for you so that you can see the volume that is needed when creating stuff people want to buy. I started this business with the thought that I would do done for you services if the project was exciting, and that is exactly how it has run to now. I rarely speak about this as I am almost always fully booked, but I set up leads tracking and...
Hey Reader, The wonderful thing about running an online service business is that there aren't really any rules. There are things that some people might say you can't do, like run a group programme for 4 people (I did this in 2020), or have a podcast that is private (helloooo 10ish) but usually they are saying that because they are parroting what someone else "higher up" than them has told them to do. I like being experimental and trying new things so that I can confidently say to my clients...
Hey Reader, Are you asking regularly for feedback? I know it can call to our very worst fears, wanting to know what people think. But in reality - it's going to enhance everything you do. I have rarely been asked for feedback in any of the things I have taken part in. Which is a shame as I think often it would have helped the course creator make things better. Example... For my experimental 100 reps from September to December 2023 I put together a coworking calendar which held space for 100...
